Apple Music app now available on PlayStation 5

Sony announced Apple Music app released for PS5 worldwide. Service subscribers will have access to 90 million songs, tens of thousands of playlists from curators, 4K clips and more right on your game console.

Apple Music for PlayStation 5 supports background playback, so you can listen to music even during gaming sessions. The music can be started both in advance and during the game - the service card will appear when you click on the button with the PS logo. The user will be able to include not only the previously added music, but also the songs that the service has selected for the game that is running at that moment.

It also provides seamless switching between video and audio. If you watched the clip and then decided to start the game, the song will continue playing in the background from where you left off. Likewise, after that you can go back to the clip without delays and reloading.

You can download the application in the section "Multimedia" → "All applications". Excluding the downloaded tracks, it takes more than 500 MB on the set-top box.
