Bifteki - Greek cutlets with feta cheese

Try some quirky meat patties. Bifteki are prepared with a filling of cheese, lemon juice and hot pepper, and aromatic mint is added to the minced meat.

Ingredients
- Minced pork and beef 1 kg
- Garlic 4 pieces
- Dried mint 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Ground oregano ½ tsp spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Olive oil 4-6 tbsp spoons
- Feta 200 g
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 tbsp spoon
- Cayenne pepper to taste
Cooking method

Combine the minced meat with minced garlic, mint, oregano, salt and black pepper.
Instead of dried mint, you can use a few fresh sprigs.
Add olive oil to the meat and stir again. Put in the refrigerator for an hour and a half.
Grind the feta in a blender with lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Divide the mass into 8 parts, roll into balls and flatten a little.

Divide the minced meat into 8 pieces. Take one piece and form a rounded blank. Use your finger to make a depression in the center, insert the feta there and squeeze the edges so that the filling stays inside. Make 7 more cutlets in the same way.
Lightly oil your hands when handling meat.
Fry the beefteaks in a regular skillet, grill pan, or grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
