They will allow you to shoot videos, take photos and listen to music without taking your smartphone out of your pocket.
Facebook in partnership with the Ray-Ban brand has developed smart glasses Stories. They are equipped with two cameras with a resolution of 5 megapixels for recording photos and videos. Shooting can be started with a button on the bow or with a voice command: "Hey Facebook, take a video."
The memory in the glasses is enough for three dozen 30-second video clips or about 500 photos. All this content is easily transferred to the connected smartphone via the Facebook View application and then uploaded to the social network or other services. In the same application, the glasses are activated and linked to your Facebook account.
There are no displays in the lenses, but there are hidden speakers in the temples. They allow you to play sound from your phone via Bluetooth - you can receive calls, as well as listen to music or podcasts. A touchpad on the side of the boom allows you to change the volume or pause playback.
Facebook claims it takes about an hour to fully charge the glasses, and the battery will last for about six hours with occasional use. The charger is integrated into the hard carrying case, which in turn can recharge the glasses three times from the built-in battery - just like with TWS headphones.
Ray-Ban Stories is priced at $ 299 (≈21,800 rubles). They will be available in several designs. You can buy them at regular stores that sell Ray-Ban glasses.
