Apple and pear compote for the winter

Ingredients
- Small apples 1 kg
- Small pears 300-400 g
- Water 1-1¹⁄₂ l
- Sugar 200 g
- Citric acid ¹⁄₂ tsp spoons

Wash the fruit thoroughly. Put the whole apples in a sterilized three-liter jar. Add pears cut in half.

Pour boiling water all the way to the top. Cover with a lid and cover with a towel. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes.

Drain the liquid from the jar into a saucepan. Since the amount of water will decrease during the infusion, add a little more to the pan.
It is most convenient to drain the liquid using a special nylon cap with holes.
Pour sugar into the water, stir and boil. The sand should dissolve.
Pour citric acid into the jar and pour in the syrup. Roll up, flip and wrap. Store cool after cooling.
