Google unveils waterproof Pixel 5a 5G with large battery

Google is officially presented Pixel 5a 5G smartphone. It has a metal body with a soft finish and is IP67 water resistant. Screen - 6.34 inches, OLED, with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The fingerprint scanner is built into the rear panel.

Responsible for the performance is the same eight-core Snapdragon 765G (7 nm), supplemented by 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of built-in UFS 2.1 memory. The battery capacity has grown to 4 680 mAh versus 3 885 mAh in predecessor. There is support for 18W fast charging.

The front camera of the Pixel 5a 5G is 8MP. The main one is represented by the main 12.2 megapixel sensor (f / 1.7) with optical stabilization and an additional 16 megapixel sensor with ultra-wide-angle optics (107˚). The verge writesthat it is still one of the best photo solutions in its class.

Among other things: stereo speakers, 3.5 mm jack for connecting wired headphones and, of course, NFC support. The smartphone runs Android 11 with at least 3 years of OS updates. It will only be available in dark green, but Google will also sell special colored silicone cases.

Pixel 5a 5G price - $ 449 (≈33,000 rubles), which is $ 50 less than the price Pixel 4a 5G at the start.
