The Salyut TV operating system will be installed on Hyundai TVs

Previously, in order to turn an ordinary TV into a smart device, you had to buy a special set-top box. Now this is not necessary: Hyundai smart TVs are sold with the Salyut TV operating system preinstalled. It was created by the Russian team SberDevices.

Salyut TV is the next stage in the development of the StarOS operating system, which was developed by SberDevices based on Android OSP. Thanks to Salyut TV, the TV can be controlled by voice, interact with virtual assistants and go online. The device is equipped with a Bluetooth remote control, and, what is especially convenient, its virtual analogue is provided in the Sber Salyut mobile application.

The platform fully reveals itself if you connect your TV to the Internet. But even without this, you can watch content from a USB stick and enjoy regular TV (but you need to install an appropriate antenna).

They are equipped with three virtual assistants at once

Depending on mood and tasks on Hyundai TVs you can choose one of three virtual assistants: Sbera, Joy or Athena. Each of them has its own character: Sber is always neutral, Joy is cheerful, and Athena loves order.

You can talk to assistants as if they were real people. They understand natural speech and can maintain conversation. Ask them questions, assign tasks, control TV settings, lighting and other elements of a smart home with their help.

Virtual assistants are pumped through skills, or smart-ups (SmartApps). These are applications that can be found in the catalog. It is constantly updated, now it contains more than 350 smart-ups from SberDevices and third-party developers.

Through the Hyundai TV, you can listen to music, order food, make an appointment with a doctor and do much more.

With the Salyut TV platform, your TV is not just a big screen that broadcasts a picture, but a full-fledged entertainment center and a useful home assistant with which you can and should interact.

It is convenient to watch movies, series and cartoons on the Hyundai smart TV in the Okko online cinema, search for videos on YouTube, listen to music through the SberSvuk service. If you are hungry, order food at Samokat or book a table at a restaurant using the Duet service.

In the same way, without leaving your home, you can sign up for a beauty salon or a doctor. And computer vision technologies in the Layer function, which is available when watching films and TV shows in Okko, will help to recognize clothes in the frame. Artificial intelligence will select similar options in online stores, and you can order the item you like.

Parents will find the "Children's Mode" useful: it is activated through the "Sber Salute" application and blocks all "adult" content. And the application catalog contains interactive games and other programs for children, a lot of educational and entertainment materials.

Gamers will also have something to do: they can play modern computer games in UHD quality right on the TV without spending money on expensive hardware. This opportunity is provided by the cloud gaming service SberPlay.
