The updated games will be available on PC, consoles and even mobile devices.
Kotaku citing multiple sources writesthat Rockstar Games is preparing a remaster of three GTA parts: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The games will be released on a variety of platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.
All three games are made on the basis of the Unreal Engine and will be a mixture of "new and old graphics". One source who claims to have seen a snippet of one game in action noted that the visuals reminded him of a heavily modified version of the classic GTA.
The user interface of all games will be updated, but the developers will try to maintain the classic style familiar to fans of the series.
The games are due out in late October or early November. They are being developed for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, and even Stadia. PC and mobile versions could be carried over to next year as Rockstar is focused on developing console ports for now.
