Huawei has announced new smartphones in its flagship lineup: the P50 and P50 Pro. Both received waterproof cases (IP68), displays with minimal bezels and massive photo modules, decorated in two separate circles.

Huawei P50

The base model is equipped with a 6.5 ″ AMOLED flat display with a resolution of 2,770 x 1,224 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. There is a hole in the top center for a 13MP selfie camera.

Capability to shoot in any conditions is a key feature of the new products. Responsible for this are the new Leica cameras and the 10-channel color sensor. Huawei P50 has a 50-megapixel main module with OIS, a 12-megapixel telephoto with OIS and a 13-megapixel wide-angle module. Supports 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom.

The P50 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G processor. There is no support for fifth generation networks. The amount of RAM is 8 GB, and the built-in memory is 128 or 256 GB, depending on the version. Battery - 4 100 mAh with support for wired charging up to 66 V.

Huawei P50 Pro

This option was equipped with a curved display, traditional for the Pro versions. Used OLED-matrix with a diagonal of 6.6 ″, 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2770 × 1228 pixels. The sensor sampling rate is 300 Hz, like the P50.

The device is equipped with a slightly more advanced set of cameras: the main one with 50 megapixels, a 64 megapixel telephoto, a monochrome sensor with 40 megapixels and a wide-angle module with 13 megapixels. The zoom is 3.5x optical and 200x digital. XD Fusion Pro technology also appeared, which is responsible for image fusion to increase the amount of collected light and increase the dynamic range. For selfies, a 13 megapixel sensor is built into the display.

The heart of the gadget is the Kirin 9000 chip, but some modifications will receive the Snapdragon 888. The chip will be complemented by 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of internal memory. Battery - 4,360 mAh. There is 66W fast wired charging via USB Type-C 3.1 and 50W wireless.
