New emojis that may be released in 2021-2022

Emojipedia published a shortlist of new emojis that will be available in 2021-2022 on mobile devices. This is not a definitive list, some will not be included in the final release.

Some emojis have comments:

• The palm with the index finger and thumb crossed can serve as either a heart image popular with fans k-pop, or any other similar gesture - for example, this is how money is sometimes shown.
• Coral is intended to be used when discussing climate change, given the impact of global warming on coral reefs.
• The Man with the Crown is a gender-neutral alternative to the existing Prince and Princess emoji.
• “Pregnant man” and “pregnant man” acknowledge that pregnancy is possible for some transgender men and non-binary people. This is a new variation for the existing pregnant woman emoji.
• Gradually, all emojis with people will receive gender-neutral options that will be used by default.

The design of each symbol is not final (besides, emoji look differently depending on the device). We'll see which emoji qualify with the release of Unicode 14.0, which is scheduled for September 14th.
