I admit right away: cleaning is one of my least favorite things. I always try to put it off until the last. Now this is not a problem - I live alone in a small studio, but a couple of years ago I was based with my parents in a three-room apartment.
There are four carpets, a large glazed balcony - it took at least two hours to clean. And it's not only about the area of the apartment, but also about the old washing vacuum cleaner. It is large, clumsy and requires careful cleaning, which sometimes takes almost half the cleaning time.
Seems to be a cordless vacuum cleaner Redkey F10 should speed up the process: it does not need to be connected to an outlet, rinse thoroughly, change the capacity often for dust - with a washing vacuum cleaner this had to be done after each room, otherwise the water flooded all frame. It is also flexible and compact - it can easily climb into spaces between and under furniture.
To check its work, I went to the parents' apartment in order to fully test all the functions and attachments. Now I'll tell you what came of it.
1. Operation "Three-room apartment"
Redkey F10 is powered by a removable Samsung battery with a capacity of 2,500 mAh. The manufacturer promises that one charge should be enough to clean 200 square meters. I have a smaller area, about 60 squares, so the test for a vacuum cleaner should be easy.
Before cleaning, I put the battery on charge. It takes about an hour to charge. The manufacturer does not recommend keeping it connected to electricity for too long: overheating of the battery can affect its lifespan.
So, to the experiment. Vacuuming took me about 30 minutes. I carefully walked through the entire apartment, changed the attachments a couple of times (more on this later). And the vacuum cleaner did not run out, even the lights on the brush did not start blinking (this is a signal of a low battery). And most importantly, I did not have to switch the vacuum cleaner from outlet to outlet and correct the wire caught on the furniture.
I want such a vacuum cleaner
2. Pile, linoleum, mat
I have already said that the apartment has four carpets: two fleecy and two smooth types of mats. In open areas - linoleum. These surfaces require different capacities of the vacuum cleaner: you must agree, collecting dust from smooth linoleum is much easier than pulling it out of the space between the fibers of the carpet.
Have Redkey F10 400 W motor with a maximum suction power of 23,000 Pa. There are five operating modes, by default the vacuum cleaner chooses the weakest, although in fact it is quite powerful. For the test, I switched the pressure manually. By the way, it is easy to do this: the control panel is at the top, you do not need to bend over and carry out any super-complicated manipulations - you just need to press the "+" or "-" button.
The result is pleasing. Redkey F10 cleared everything. It works especially well with pile: the fifth power made it possible to get everything that had accumulated in a week at the base of the carpet. True, at its maximum, the vacuum cleaner roars like an elephant, but the result is worth it.
3. Lots of trash, little trash
The most intriguing feature of the Redkey F10 for me was the contamination detection sensor. A sensor on the brush detects the amount of dust and debris in front of you and automatically changes the power. If the contamination is significant, the mechanism increases the suction, if not, it goes into economy mode. Sounds cool. This, as conceived by the manufacturer, should extend the battery life.
To check how this works, I specially poured flour, bulgur and buckwheat on the floor. What can't you do for the sake of experiment! She turned on auto mode and got down to business. The vacuum cleaner collected flour at the first power, for the bulgur it accelerated to the second, but it sucked in the buckwheat already at the third. Removed everything in seconds and left the linoleum clean.
4. Dust undercover
One more feature Redkey F10 - flexible pipe. It can be fixed in a certain position or made movable: you just need to press the lock button. This pipe allows you to clean under beds, sofas and wardrobes without bending over or squatting.
I checked, and it's true. The vacuum cleaner practically becomes an extension of the hand! Easily moves in the right direction, does not require much effort. I had to bend over a little, just to reach the far corner under the bed.
The LEDs on the brush also help to collect dust under the furniture: they illuminate the space - you can look and check how well the vacuum cleaner did the job, and if something happens, go through the missed places.
5. Consequences of airing
Some windows in the apartment overlook a busy road. This means there is a lot of dust at home. Summer this year turned out to be abnormally hot, so the windows are almost always open. The main blow is taken by the curtains (after the window sills, of course). It is often unrealistic to wash them, and it is almost impossible to clean them with a large standard vacuum cleaner brush.
Have Redkey F10 there is a special compact dust nozzle that can handle any textiles, including curtains. I checked it. The vacuum cleaner itself is not very heavy - 4 kilograms, so it is quite easy to keep it suspended. Two curtains filled the dust compartment by half: on the one hand, this is a little scary, on the other hand, it suggests that the device coped with this test perfectly.
6. Clean balcony
I don’t like cleaning, and I don’t like cleaning on the balcony twice. This is the most difficult place in the apartment: it is impossible to smuggle a large vacuum cleaner there, you have to turn to the good old broom. In addition, there is furniture - in one corner there is an armchair, in the other - a wardrobe, it is difficult to get into the space between them and the wall.
Compactness Redkey F10 this is just the way. Firstly, it easily crawls through the opening of the balcony door, and secondly, it has a nozzle for cleaning in narrow places. Five minutes - and the balcony shines and sparkles. By the way, it is convenient to remove dust from the cabinet with a narrow nozzle - you don't even need to get up on a stool!
7. And where to put the dust?
As a user of a washing vacuum cleaner, I was most worried about the process of cleaning the dust compartment. I'm used to it taking a very long time: first you need to drain the water, then thoroughly rinse the container, wash filters - be sure to be careful, otherwise they may break, then leave them to dry for at least a couple hours. Only after that you can collect the vacuum cleaner and hide it in place.
Redkey F10 much easier to clean. To throw the collected dust into the trash can, you just need to press a button on the special compartment - you don't even have to disassemble the vacuum cleaner! Then the container must be wiped with a rag or removed and rinsed under running water. The brush can also be cleaned after cleaning - again, you just need to press the button and pull out the rotating element. Fast, simple and convenient.
Outcomes
Redkey F10 coped with all the tasks for a solid five. It is compact, lightweight and yet very powerful. Thanks to different attachments and modes, the vacuum cleaner easily copes with cleaning any surfaces. And the main plus for me is that it does not have a wire: this speeds up and simplifies the process, because you do not need to constantly switch the device from one outlet to another. Here are a few more benefits of the Redkey F10:
- It is convenient to store it. The vacuum cleaner is disassembled into three parts: a base with a dust collector and a battery, a pipe and a brush. It is not necessary to store the appliance behind the door or in the pantry - when disassembled, it can easily fit into the closet. And you can also hang it on the wall: a special mount is included with the Redkey F10.
- It has a three-layer HEPA ‑ filter. It is installed in the working part of the Redkey F10. The first layer of the filter collects large particles, the second - small, the third catches odors. The filter can be washed, and when it is worn out, replaced with a new one - a spare HEPA element is included in the basic configuration of the vacuum cleaner.
- It is sold at an affordable price. The Redkey F10 costs $ 179.99 but is currently available for $ 169.99. Plus, discount coupons regularly appear on the store page. For example, now the following offer is valid: minus $ 9 for every 100 spent.
