This will make laptops even more attractive for photographers and videographers.
Insider Luke Miani shared new details on upcoming MacBook Pro models that may receive the latest M1X ARM chip. According to him, laptops will surprise not only with the highest performance, but also with the appearance of support for UHS-II memory cards.
The UHS-II format offers a notable increase in speed, reaching 312 MB / s versus the usual 100 MB / s. Such cards are commonly used in photographic and video equipment, as well as in a number of other professional devices. Backward compatibility will allow you to use any less fast memory cards with an Apple laptop.
The source also noted the appearance of the Touch ID fingerprint scanner backlight in the MacBook Pro. He does not know the details, but assumes that we are talking only about "a few dedicated LEDs" that will allow you to highlight the sensor.
Finally, Miani reports that the new MacBook Pros may be limited to 32GB of RAM at the maximum version. And this is somewhat contrary to earlier rumors from Bloomberg, where it was said about 64 GB. Current Mac M1s are limited to 16GB of RAM.
The new MacBook Pro models are due in the third quarter of 2021. Versions with screens of 14 and 16 inches are expected. They are credited with a completely new design and mini-LED panels.
