Vivo patented smartphone with built-in selfie drone

If a photo at arm's length is not enough for you.
Vivo has patented the design of a smartphone with a built-in mini-drone - it extends from the top of the device and takes off for shooting.
The drone is equipped with four miniature propellers and two cameras, one of which is directed to the side and the other is directed downward.
Cameras will allow you to shoot the user at a distance - from above, making a flight, or simply from the side, thereby replacing the tripod. The patent also mentions infrared sensors that will allow the drone to avoid collisions with obstacles.
Remarkably, the quadcopter will be so thin that the thickness of a smartphone should be quite standard for modern gadgets. True, the presence of such a module inside can affect the reduction of the battery capacity.
The idea of embedding a drone in a smartphone is not new. Back in 2017, the AirSelfie micro-copter was released, which was attached to the back of the smartphone in a case. It measured 3.72 × 2.65 cm and weighed 61 grams and allowed shooting from a distance of up to 20 meters. Now its manufacturer has slightly changed the concept - the drone is no longer tied to a smartphone, but still has a very compact size that allows you to carry it in your pocket.
So far, Vivo has only patent, the receipt of which does not mean the imminent appearance of such a device. Would you like to see such a gadget? Let us know in the comments.
