Telegram now has group video calls and a screen broadcast function

Telegram announced that from today, users can turn on video feed from the camera or the screen image in the voice chat of any group. This will allow you to use chats for online lessons, business meetings or communication with loved ones. It is enough for any of the participants to turn on the video mode by clicking on the camera icon.

• You can broadcast not only video from the device's camera or screen, but also use both at the same time.
• When broadcasting the screen via Telegram for PC, you can show an image of the entire desktop or just the selected program.
• Any of the video broadcasts can be expanded to full screen, and the video from any interlocutor can be pinned on top.
• Video conferencing is currently available to the first 30 participants to join the chat, but the limit will be increased soon.
• The group calling interface is now optimized for large screens of laptops and computers, as well as tablets - both horizontally and vertically.

• On a PC, voice chat opens in a separate window, so that it is convenient to correspond without losing sight of the video conference.

• Added animated backgrounds that are algorithmically mixed from several colors and smoothly shimmer when sending messages.
• In an iOS app, these backgrounds are slightly visible through the semi-transparent interface elements.
