Hamburg beef steaks

Hamburg steak is made from ground beef and turns out to be unusually juicy, especially after simmering in a sauce. Try it yourself.

Ingredients
- Ground beef 450 g
- Egg 1 piece
- Breadcrumbs 30-40 g
- Worcester sauce 1 tsp the spoon
- Onion powder ½ tsp spoons
- Garlic powder ½ tsp spoons
- Salt 1 tsp the spoon
- Ground black pepper ⅛ tsp spoons
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
- Onion 1 piece
- Flour 2 tbsp. spoons
- Meat broth 240 ml
- Sherry 1 tbsp. the spoon
Cooking method
Mix the minced meat with the egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, onion and garlic powders, half salt and pepper.
Divide the mass into 8 pieces and form into flat cakes.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the pieces for about 4 minutes on each side until they are browned. Place on a plate and cover with foil.
Put chopped onions in the same pan, add flour and mix well with the oil that remains after frying the steaks.
Gradually pour in the broth with sherry, lightly salt and cook over low heat for 5 minutes to slightly thicken the sauce.
Reduce heat to low, place steaks in skillet with sauce and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
