Pie with meat and potatoes on kefir

This large and satisfying pie with meat and potatoes is easy to prepare, but it turns out to be excellent: with a perfect golden brown crust and juicy filling.

Ingredients
- Flour 450 g
- Salt ½ tsp spoons + for filling
- Butter 250 g
- Soda 1 tsp the spoon
- Kefir 250 ml
- Potatoes 700 g
- Onions 3-4 pieces
- Beef, pork or chicken 650 g
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
- Egg 1 piece
Cooking method
Sift flour and mix with salt. Grate butter or cut into small cubes.
Grind the butter and flour into crumbs. Mix soda with kefir, pour into flour, quickly knead a smooth soft dough.
Roll it into a ball, wrap with plastic foil and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into very thin slices or strips. Chop the onion into small cubes.
Cut the meat into cubes, salt, pepper and mix.
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil.
Divide the dough into two unequal parts, each roll out into a layer 2-3 mm thick.
Lay a larger layer in a mold, pressing it against the sides and bottom.
Place potatoes, meat and onions there. Season the layers of vegetables with salt and pepper.
Cover the filling with a second layer of dough, join the edges and pinch. Make a small hole in the center of the cake.
Beat the egg with a fork. Brush the pie with an egg and bake in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
