Life hack: what to do after the interview to increase the chances of success

If you have already passed the interview, the company is interesting to you and there are good chances of getting into it for work, you can remind yourself of yourself by writing a letter to the recruiter after the meeting. This practice has already taken root abroad - they call such letters followups (follow-up), but has not yet taken root in Russia.

It is worth sending such an appeal if you are not applying for a mass position such as a sales assistant or a waiter. In this case, employers are looking at too many candidates and the letter is easily lost among job applications.

In such a letter you can:

• Write words of gratitude. It is better to start the letter with them. Say you were delighted to have the opportunity to learn more about the position and the company. Don't make this part too long - a couple of sentences are enough.
• Show motivation. List the thesis, what you like the vacancy, and note why you are interested in this job.

• Indicate information that you forgot to report. For example, a relevant experience that you didn't mention during your interview. And as confirmation, you can send links to successful projects or a presentation with accurate data, if they are not confidential.
• Fix test task. If during the interview you realized that you did something wrong, write about it in the letter and attach the modified version.
• Clarify when to wait for a response. At the end of the letter, ask the employer when he will decide on your candidacy.
