Miscellaneous / / April 30, 2021
To do this, you don't even have to go into the settings.
With release iOS / iPadOS 14.5 on the iPhone and iPad, it became possible to change the music source used in conjunction with Siri. Thanks to this, asking the assistant to turn on a song or album, you will be sure that not Apple Music will open, but the application of your choice.
To do this, just ask Siri to turn on any song or podcast: she will offer you to choose through which service to turn on the song, and will remember this choice for the future. Just say “Hey Siri, play [song or artist],” and a selection of available apps will appear on the screen.
In theory, Siri should also offer to select a source for playing podcasts and audiobooks, but during testing it persistently included episodes through Apple's Podcasts, not offering to use the Yandex Music or Google Podcasts ".
According to the interface, it seems that you can click on Apple Podcasts and change it to another service, but no: this is static text. Apple is likely to improve choice in the future, but it’s hard to say that everything works perfectly.
