This is the brand's first gaming smartphone.
Xiaomi showed Redmi K40 Gaming Edition - as the name suggests, this is a pumped-up version Redmi K40targeted at fans of mobile games. This was reflected both in the design and in the characteristics of the novelty.
The smartphone received 6.43-inch AMOLED displays with Full HD + resolution (2400 × 1080 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and 480 Hz sampling (versus 360 Hz in the main K40 line). Both the screen and the back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Responsible for performance is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, complemented by up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal memory. The cooling system uses graphene, graphite and a vapor chamber, there is no cooler - even as an additional accessory, which are usually produced with Black Shark. For high-quality sound, JBL stereo speakers with support for Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos are used here.
Although a minimum of attention was paid to this aspect at the presentation, the cameras are also worthy here: the main one consists of a 64 megapixel main module, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and a 2 megapixel macro. The front camera is 16-megapixel.
Redmi K40 Gaming Edition received a battery with a capacity of 5,065 mAh with support for fast charging with a capacity of up to 67 W: this allows you to charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 42 minutes.
