On April 20, as part of the first presentation in 2021, Apple introduced two new iPad Pro tablets. Both received thin metal cases with flat edges and very narrow bezels.
The larger version with a 12.9-inch display features the latest Liquid Retina XDR with mini-LED technology, with a maximum brightness of up to 1600 nits and 2596 zones of local dimming. According to Apple, the picture quality of this tablet is not inferior to the top-end Pro Display XDR monitor.
The smaller 11-inch variant features a Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology, HDR and Dolby Vision support, up to 120Hz refresh rate and wide color gamut (P3).
Inside - an eight-core Apple Silicon M1 processor, which makes the tablets incredibly powerful and energy efficient. Now, in terms of performance, they will be comparable to the new MacBook models. The CPU is complemented by a new generation 16-core Apple Neural Engine and an advanced Image Signal Processor (ISP).
The amount of built-in memory in the maximum version has increased to 2 TB. RAM - up to 16 GB. For the first time, 5G support has appeared, providing download speeds up to 3.5 Gbps. However, Russia will only have LTE.
The tablets are equipped with USB-C connectors with Thunderbolt support and the ability to output images to external monitors with a resolution of up to 6K.
The 12MP front camera now features 122 ° ultra-wide-angle optics and an auto-panning Center Stage function to keep your subject in the frame at all times. Behind - "professional" cameras of 12 and 10 megapixels with a LiDAR scanner and support for Smart HDR 3. Four speakers, True Depth sensors with Face ID are also in place.
The top novelty with a mini-LED screen will cost from 106,990 rubles, and the version with an 11-inch screen will cost from 77,990 rubles. Start accepting orders - April 30.
