Plain Craffins with Orange Peel

These flavored puff craffins are easy to replicate at home. Add nuts, dried fruits and candied fruits to the dough for an interesting flavor.

Ingredients
- Butter 150 g
- Eggs 2 pieces
- Milk 240 ml
- Sugar 100 g
- Orange 1 piece
- Salt ¼ tsp spoons
- Flour 520 g
- Dry yeast 7 g
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. the spoon
- Nuts 3-4 tbsp. spoons
- Dried fruits and candied fruits 3-4 tbsp. spoons
- Powdered sugar to taste
Cooking method
Melt 60 g of butter, combine it with eggs, milk and sugar, whisk everything with a whisk until smooth.
Remove the zest from the orange with a fine grater. Add zest, salt, flour and yeast to the liquid ingredients.

Knead a soft dough, roll it into a ball, cover with cling film or a towel and leave in a warm place for 2-4 hours to rise.
During the proofing period, the dough should double.
Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Lubricate the muffin tins with vegetable oil.
Knead the dough and divide into 6 equal parts. Roll each part into a thin rectangular layer.

Melt the remaining butter and brush well each layer of dough.
Sprinkle sliced nuts and dried fruit over the dough, if desired.
Roll the layers into tight rolls, then cut them in half lengthwise.
Roll the resulting strands into a spiral with a cut outward and place in molds.
Bake the craffins for 15-18 minutes in a preheated oven until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
