How to remove your phone number from Facebook and set up two-factor authentication in a different way

Recently it became known that Facebook merges advertisers with your phone number, even if it is not specified in the profile. Including the one that is selected for two-factor authentication. How to remove your phone number from Facebook

1. Go to the settings of social networks by clicking the arrow in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. Click the "Mobile Devices."
3. By phone, select "Remove" and then - "Delete number."
4. Enter the account password and confirm the action.

How to set up two-factor authentication through a special application

1. Click the "Security and the entrance."
2. In "Use two-factor authentication" select "Edit."
3. Click "Start" and select "Application for authentication."
4. Scan the QR-code via the selected application or type the combination of hand.
5. To confirm, press the "Next" and enter the code from the app.

Done! Now when you log in Facebook will need to enter the key of the selected special program, and phone number will not be used.
