Sauerkraut with meat and potatoes

Sauerkraut with meat and potatoes is a great dish for a hearty lunch or dinner. After stewing, both pork and vegetables are soft and appetizing.

Ingredients
- Pork 700-800 g
- Onion 2 pieces
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
- Potatoes 4 pieces
- Sauerkraut 600-650 g
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Cumin 1 tsp the spoon
- Water 300-600 ml
Cooking method
Cut the pork into small pieces, the onion into quarters of rings. Pass the garlic through a press.
Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the meat for a few minutes so that the pieces are slightly browned on all sides.
Add the onion to the pork and continue sautéing until tender. Add garlic and cook everything together for another 30 seconds.

Cut the potatoes into medium pieces. Add to the meat along with cabbage, salt, pepper and caraway seeds. Stir, cover and reduce heat to low.
Do not squeeze the cabbage before placing it in the pan.
Cook pork with vegetables for about one and a half to two hours. Stir occasionally and add a little water if there is no liquid left in the pan.
