Spotify unveils its first gadget, a miniature car player

Spotify streaming service presented the first branded device. It was a miniature car player of the Car Thing player, which allows you to listen to music with a Premium subscription and gives you access to all your saved playlists.

The device has a rather thin body, a small touchscreen display, a rotary switch and a number of buttons on the end. For the latter, you can assign your favorite playlists. There is also support for voice control - you can say the phrase "Hi, Spotify", and then pronounce the name of the song, album or artist. Four microphones are responsible for this function.

Car Thing connects to car speakers like a regular phone - via Bluetooth, AUX or USB cable. Includes three different mounts for the dashboard and air vents, as well as a car charger and USB-C cable.

At the moment, Car Thing is an experimental product designed to assess the interest in such technical solutions. You can get a device for the test completely free of charge by paying only for delivery, but this is so far only relevant for US residents. If the gadget gets to wide retail, then it will cost about $ 80 (≈6 200 rubles).
