The appearance of the Always-On Display is also mentioned.
PhoneArena citing insider Max Weinbach writesthat Apple has developed a new type of coating for the iPhone 13 that will prevent fingerprints and greasy streaks from appearing on the case. Only Pro versions of upcoming flagships will receive such coverage.
The insider also noted that the matte back panel of the new smartphones will become even more refined and even less slippery. In general, the iPhone 13 will be very similar to iPhone 12. New items will stand out only in the smaller size of the "bangs", which has already been repeatedly discussed reportedas well as 120Hz ProMotion displays (Pro versions only), portrait mode for video recording, and new low-light capabilities.
Weinbach also mentions the possible appearance of the Always-On Display function, but with minimal customization options. This mode will likely look like a muted lock screen with a clock, battery level and notification icons, an insider added.
In total, Apple has to present four smartphones: iPhone 13 mini (5.4 ″), iPhone 13 (6.1 ″), iPhone 13 Pro (6.1 ″), iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.7 ″). New items are expected in September this year.
