Hello Lifehacker! Please advise the minimum acceptable laptop for photo processing and video editing for a beginner. The quality of the screen and the ability to edit Full HD 1080p video are important. You need a laptop for mobility. Thank you in advance!

Hello! For video editing, you will need a powerful processor, at least 8 GB of RAM for 1,080p resolution and a fast SSD-drive for active projects. It's good if a 1-2 TB HDD is installed in conjunction with the SSD, but the files still have to be copied to external storage.
The video card is not very often used in entry-level programs, but it will come in handy at the stage of final processing of video files, as well as in graphic editors. Gaming laptops are fine for these purposes. However, do not forget about one of the disadvantages of productive models - short battery life at high load. Therefore, it will be possible to work completely offline on the road for only a few hours.
Pay attention to the following models:
HP Pavilion Gaming 15 ‑ dk0090ur (8TY32EA)

- CPU: Intel Core i5-9300H Coffee Lake 2.4GHz.
- Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050.
- Memory: 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD.
- Battery life: up to 8 hours in economy mode.
The gaming laptop is powered by a 9th Gen Intel quad-core processor and a discrete graphics card with 3GB of memory. The installed RAM is sufficient for work, but the RAM can be expanded up to 32 GB if necessary. The file storage should be enough to get started. The processor is not a flagship, but it can handle Full HD.

Another gaming laptop that can be used to work with videos and photos. The Ryzen 5 processor will not let you down, the RAM can be supplemented up to 16 GB. And there is a video card with 4 GB of memory.
