Chat folders appeared in Telegram for iOS
Web Services Ios / / January 06, 2021
In the new beta build of the Telegram client for iOS appeared the ability to distribute channels and chats by topic. Messages and posts from the selected channels will be displayed in tabs, you can switch between them with a simple swipe left or right.
You can group chats into folders by type (chats with one contact, groups, channels or bots), or add the desired channels manually. Custom filters allow you to exclude messages from the archive, silent, read, or any other chats at the user's discretion from the folder. Multiple sorting conditions can be applied to the same folder.
To set up folders or add a new one, you need to hold the "Chats" icon until the context menu appears. In it, you will see existing folders and the ability to add a new one.
Earlier in February, a similar feature appeared in the Telegram beta for macOS. It is not yet known when it will be available in the stable version.
