WhatsApp is taking up a lot of space? Here's how to fix it

If the messenger's cache is swollen so that it doesn't fit into the system memory, it's time to clean it.
Sometimes our interlocutors just bombard us with memes, postcards, jokes and videos. Not only are such messages not always funny, but they also take up the smartphone's memory.
WhatsApp saves the received media files to internal storage. Over time, the program folder consumes too much space. Here's how to clean it up.
Discover whatsapp app and click on the icon with three dots in the upper right. Open "Settings" and then select "Data and storage".
Here you will see the "Storage" section, which indicates how much space WhatsApp files take on the smartphone's memory. When you click on the "Storage" caption, a list of WhatsApp chats will open, sorted by space.
Click on the "heaviest" one and select "Free up space", then - "Delete objects". In the pop-up window, tap the "Delete messages" caption.
Go through all your chats and select what you are ready to delete permanently and irrevocably. This will free up several hundred megabytes of smartphone memory.
