The Instagram app now allows you to generate QR codes with links to your profile that will be read by any QR scanner. This feature was originally launched in 2019 in Japan as an alternative way to advertise social media for businesses.
Now you can create a QR code and use it as you like: for example, share it on other social networks or add it to a business card. If this sounds familiar, then you're not mistaken: Instagram used to have a Nametags function, which allowed creating similar codes in the form of pictures, but they could only be scanned through the camera Instagram.
On Android, the principle is exactly the same - only the menu bar is located not at the bottom, but on the right.
