Apple is preparing AirPods 3 with AirPods Pro design

how reports AppleInsider, a new report by renowned analyst Min-Chi Kuo is almost entirely devoted to AirPods 3. The new generation will be released in the first half of 2021 - most likely before WWDC 2021.

Kuo notes that the novelty will receive a "new form factor", and the design will be more reminiscent of AirPods Pro. The analyst does not specify whether it will include active noise cancellation technology. In addition, the report does not mention AirPods Pro Litereported by several leak searchers back in early 2020.

It is noteworthy that earlier the same analyst claimedthat the third AirPods will receive only internal changes, and externally will be similar to the second.

Overall, Kuo expects AirPods sales to grow 28% in 2021 compared to 2020 (which he forecast is 93.8 million devices). This will be facilitated not only by the release of the third generation AirPods, to which owners of older versions can switch, but also lack of EarPods included with iPhone 12.
