To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Game Gear handheld game console, Sega has released an updated version that has become significantly smaller. The new Game Gear Micro received a 1-inch display and a case with dimensions: 80 × 43 × 20 mm.
Of course, she doesn't have a slot for cartridges. And the ability to download games is also not provided - you can only play the pre-installed classic hits. The console is available in four colors, and each color has a different set of games. For example, Sonic is only available in black and blue versions, while Columns can only be played in red.
Control in games is standard - using a conventional cross and two buttons. The device also has a small speaker. Autonomous work is provided by two replaceable AAA-batteries, but you can also connect the Game Gear Micro to the power supply via the microUSB port.
If the screen with a diagonal of 1 inch seems too small for you, you can buy an additional enlarged display, which is mounted on top of the standard one.
Game Gear Micro will be on sale at 4,980 yen (≈3,200 rubles). The start of sales is scheduled for October 6.
