Scientists have told where the cleanest air on Earth is

If you have ever traveled to the mountains (preferably away from people), then surely, breathing deeply this heady air, you thought that nothing could be better. But scientists from the University of Colorado argue that in search of the cleanest air on our planet, you will have to go to places farther than the Alps or the Carpathians.
Their new researchAirborne bacteria confirm the pristine nature of the Southern Ocean boundary layer showed that the air is cleaner than anything over the Southern Ocean. For this, we should thank the special climatic and weather conditions, due to which the clouds over the ocean remain clean: they did not find traces of pollution caused by humans.
In the course of the study, air samples were taken at different altitudes - from 10 to more than 2,000 meters above sea level. Analysis showed that between 91.8% and 99.9% of the bacteria in these samples were of marine origin, while the presence of bacteria from other regions was explained by natural air movement. There are no traces of fuel, fertilizer or waste in the clouds.
And this is kind of surprising, because because of our life, garbage can be found even in the most remote areas - not only in water, but also on beaches and in the stomachs of animals. Yet these clouds are located so far from the habitat of most people that they managed to avoid pollution.
