Check in one click your hairstyle, an unmade bed in the frame, and other things that you will be ashamed of in front of your colleagues or your boss.
In the office, such situations are excluded, but now, when many work from home during quarantine, it is easy to overlook a trifle in a video call and inadvertently become the subject of ridicule. A simple utility called Hand Mirror will help you avoid this.
Once installed, it is added to the macOS menu bar and acts as a mirror. By clicking on the icon, a small window opens that shows the picture from the camera.
Unlike a regular mirror, with Hand Mirror you can not only evaluate how you look, but also check if something gets into the frame that should not be there. Apart from switching between cameras, this is the only function of the application.
Basically, the same can be done by launching the built-in Photo Booth application, or by opening the settings Zoom, Skype or whatever program you use to video conferencing. But it will take a few clicks and 5-10 seconds of time. With Hand Mirror, all this can be done much faster.
