Android 14 is not in the latest statistics.
Android 13 has become the most popular version of Android in the world. This is evidenced by current Google statistics, which noticed insider Mishaal Rahman.
As of October 2023, 22.3% of all active Android devices are running Android 13, while the latest Android 14 I didn’t have time to get into the statistics. Here's how the shares of different Android versions have changed compared to May of this year:
- Android 13: 15% → 22.4%
- Android 12: 16.3% → 15.8%
- Android 11: 23.1% → 21.6%
- Android 10: 17.8% → 16.1%
- Android 9: 11.9% → 10.5%
- Android 8.1: 6.1% → 5.4%
- Android 8: 2.2% → 1.9%
- Android 7.1: 1.5% → 1.3%
- Android 7: 1.5% → 1.3%
- Android 6: 2.3% → 1.9%
- Android 5.1: 1.5% → 1.2%
- Android 5: 0.3% → 0.2%
- Android 4.4: 0.5% → 0.4%
According to new data, over the past 4 months, the number of users of assemblies that Google continues to support with security patches has grown from 54.4% to 59.8%.
Although Google is actively working with manufacturers to speed up the distribution of new versions of the system, not everyone is in a hurry to update: for example, the outdated Android 10 turned out to be more popular than last year’s Android 12.
