The standard file manager in Microsoft operating systems has not changed for many years, but with the release Windows 10X the ice will finally break. The company's developers are already preparing an updated version of "Explorer", which will become easier and more convenient. About it reports Windows Central portal.
An early build of the program demonstrates the basic functionality for managing OneDrive files and data from local storage. In terms of design, "File Explorer" Windows 10X will become cleaner and more ascetic, not overloaded with unnecessary functions. It must fully comply with the Fluent Design concept.
The file manager will support both a light interface and a dark one. There will always be buttons for quick sorting of files and creating new folders before your eyes, and many other options will be hidden in context menus and applications themselves.
Such "Explorer" will definitely be available on Windows 10X, which is designed forcomputers with two screenshowever, many believe that the innovations of this OS will gradually move to desktop systems.
Besides the file manager, Microsoft already is testing new start menu.
