As part of the Windows Insider Testing Program, Microsoft showcased a new Start Menu in Windows 10 that is simpler and more convenient. The developers removed the background of the icons in the list of programs and made the tiles on the right more uniform, matching the selected interface theme (dark or light).
Microsoft developers are not going to completely abandon branded animated tiles. The interface just tends to be flatter and less flashy to fit the new Fluent Design concept. According to Brandon Le Blanc, senior program manager on the Windows Insider team, Live Tiles don't go away, so those who like the current design can stay on.
TheVerge considersthat despite these assurances, tiles will still be removed from the system in the future. Indeed, even several years after their introduction, not all Microsoft built-in applications support them. According to insiders, the final design decision can be made after running in. Windows 10X, where the tiles, by the way, will definitely not be.
