Xiaomi introduced a new Bluetooth speaker

On February 13, Xiaomi presented not only new flagships Mi 10but also a new wireless speaker. Its main feature is the ability to simultaneously play music and charge other gadgets wirelessly. The maximum charging power is 30 W.

The charging pad is compatible with any Qi-enabled device, including iPhone. It is not even necessary to remove the cover if its thickness is less than 4 mm. Two 5 W speakers are responsible for the sound, complemented by a pair of low-frequency radiators. There is a microphone for hands-free calls and echo cancellation technology.

Thanks to the NFC sensor, after turning on the speaker on the smartphone, you will immediately be prompted to connect. While the function only works on Mi 10, but later it will appear in other MIUI devices. On other smartphones, you will have to connect the old fashioned way. The connection range is 10 meters, Bluetooth 5.0 is supported.

When the smartphone is charging (for this, a small holder is provided in front, and the front panel itself is tilted by 20 °), its screen can be used as the display of the Xiao AI voice assistant and display data such as time and date, or any Images. Again, this only works on Mi 10 for now, but will later be available on older Xiaomi smartphones as well.

The novelty was estimated at 249 yuan (≈2 270 rubles). It will go on sale in China on February 18th.
