American startup dTOOR has brought one of the most unusual Android smartphones to CES 2020. Its main feature is the absolutely round display. The new item has a corresponding name - Cyrcle Phone.
As CNET journalists note, who succeeded To get to know the device better, Cyrcle Phone resembles a giant Wear OS watch. However, it runs full Android 9.
The system interface will be adapted to the round screen, but the developers are not planning to rework any applications. In their opinion, users are used to a rectangular interface, so in this case it will just automatically fit to the display area.
There will be no special problems with messengers, but with more complex services and, for example, games, there may be difficulties. After all, the screen has a diameter of only 3.45 inches at a resolution of 800 × 800 pixels - you should not count on convenient work with editors and office tools.
Cyrcle Phone stands out not only for the screen, but also for the connectors - there are four of them at once: microUSB, USB-C and two 3.5 mm audio ports for connection
headphone. There is also support for Bluetooth 4.2 and two 13MP cameras. The amount of RAM is 2 GB, and the internal memory is 16 GB. Battery capacity - 2,000 mAh.The design of the device has not yet been completed, the manufacturer continues to experiment with various recyclable materials. The final version of the case will be presented later. Cyrcle Phone is planned to be launched on sale in the first quarter of 2021 at a price of about $ 700 (≈42,900 rubles).
