Individual consultations with a mentor every 2 weeks
Together with an experienced leader, you will sort out the difficulties that arise in your work and jointly find solutions. Make an individual development plan: identify growth points and work on them.
Workshops with experts and a lot of practice
You will practice solving typical cases from the life of a manager, get feedback and learn how others cope with similar situations. Workshops are held once a week: on weekdays at 19:00 Moscow time or on weekends in the morning.

There are no long video lectures in the course - we have collected all the information and practical tasks in an interactive textbook. You can take the course at any convenient time; you will need about 5–7 hours a week.

Setting tasks and delegation

• You will learn how to position yourself in a team, how to communicate with the manager and the customer.

• Develop your own development vector and learn to find a balance between developing your own code and managing a team.
• Learn how to assess the condition of a product.
• You will understand the tools of personal effectiveness that will help you establish a balance between your professional and personal life.
Module 2 4 weeks
Work with a specialist one-on-one
• You will understand what a manager should do at each stage of working with a specialist: how to hire, adapt, develop and fire.
• Learn how to develop an employee and build trusting relationships with him.
• Learn to delegate, conduct one-on-one meetings, give feedback, find a balance between discipline and giving freedom to the specialist.
• Learn to choose the appropriate leadership style depending on the specialist and his tasks.
Module 3 2 weeks
Getting started with the team and product
• You will learn about the stages of team formation: what pitfalls can await you at each stage and what a manager can do to improve the team’s effectiveness and gain authority.
• Learn to select a team format depending on the needs of the business and product.
• Be able to formulate and apply development metrics to work with the team and product.
• You will understand how to organize work with a remote team.
Module 4 2 weeks
Difficulties in working with the team and the product
• Learn what a leader should do in conflict situations - as a participant and as a conflict mediator.
• Learn to conduct and facilitate meetings using the constructive conversation algorithm.
• Learn when and how to use informal communication formats
Module 5 4 weeks
Team and product development
• Study the team maturity model to assess the level of development processes in the team and apply it to your specialists.
• Understand how to organize and implement quality control algorithms.
• Practice finding a balance between comfort and team efficiency.
• You will understand what a manager should do when making changes, and how and when to initiate them yourself.
• Learn how to build an incident management system.
Module 6 6 weeks
Product and infrastructure
• Learn what to focus on when communicating with a customer, analyze the algorithm of product thinking.
• Master the Scrum and Kanban methodologies, see the difficulties that managers face during the implementation and use of frameworks.
• Learn to use extreme programming practices to develop your team.
• Learn how to use Event Storming to model business processes and develop requirements.
• You will understand how to create and maintain documentation.
• Learn how to select and manage a technology stack.
• Learn how to identify, prioritize and manage technical debt.
