At CES 2020, which is now taking place in Las Vegas, Alienware unveiled something unexpected: the Concept UFO, a portable gaming PC clearly inspired by Nintendo Switch. The device even has similar removable sides with keys and joysticks that can be mated into a full controller.
Alienware does not disclose the specifications of the device and emphasizes that this is just a prototype. However, foreign journalists celebratethat this is one of the most elaborate concept devices at the exhibition. So far there is not a word about when such a device can go on sale, how much it will cost and what games can be launched on it, but in this video you can see dice Mortal kombat 11, World war z and other quite demanding games:
The demo runs on Windows 10, weighs roughly 900g (for comparison, a Switch with two joycones weighs about 400g) and features an 8-inch 1200p display. Controllers connect to it using magnetic strips. The USB-C ports can also be used to connect a keyboard and mouse.
