Zucchini casserole with cheese - Lifehacker

This zucchini casserole is easy to prepare. Together with nutmeg, basil and cheese, vegetables become incredibly aromatic and tasty.

Ingredients
- Butter 2 tbsp spoons + for lubrication
- Young zucchini or zucchini 2-3 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Heavy cream 80 ml
- Eggs 3 pieces
- Parmesan 30 g
- Garlic 2-3 cloves
- Dried basil 1 tsp the spoon
- Ground nutmeg ⅛ tsp spoons
- Ground black pepper ¹⁄₄ tsp spoons
- Cheddar or other hard cheese 170 g
- Greens to taste
Cooking method
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Oil a baking dish.
Cut off the ends from the zucchini. Peeling vegetables is optional. Slice in half lengthways, then chop across into pieces of equal thickness.
Sprinkle vegetables with salt, stir and leave for a few minutes.
Whisk the cream, eggs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, basil, nutmeg and pepper.
Blot the zucchini with paper towels and place in a mold.
Grate cheddar or other cheese on a coarse grater. Pour about 70 g onto the zucchini.
Pour in the egg and butter mixture and spread the small pieces of butter on top.
Place in the oven for 25 minutes. Then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
