Green beans wrapped in bacon

The bacon-wrapped green beans are brushed with brown sugar syrup for a subtle sweetness and a thin caramelized crust.

Ingredients
- Bacon 6 strips
- Soda ¹⁄₂ tsp spoons
- Fresh green beans 650-680 g
- Dried garlic ¹⁄₄ tsp spoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp the spoon
- Water 1 tbsp. the spoon
Cooking method
Fry the bacon in a dry skillet, but do not make it crispy. Leave 2-3 teaspoons of bacon fat.

Pour baking soda into a pot of boiling water. Throw in the beans and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer to cold ice water for a few minutes.
The baking soda, like the ice water, will help preserve the vibrant green color of the green beans.
Pat the beans dry with paper towels. Combine with bacon fat, dried garlic, salt and pepper.
Divide the beans into several bunches. Each should contain 6-8 pods.
Cut each bacon strip in half. Wrap the bacon around the bean bundles and secure with toothpicks.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Dissolve sugar in water and brush on beans and bacon.
Place in an oven preheated to 190 ° C for 20-22 minutes.
