Gooseberry Jelly

Gooseberry jelly is sweet, aromatic and delicious. This dessert will be an ideal addition to fragrant tea.

Ingredients
- Gooseberry 3½ kg
- Water 250 ml
- Sugar 2 kg
Cooking method
Sort the berries and rinse. Place in an enamel bowl or saucepan, add water and boil.
After boiling, cook over low heat until the berries soften and let the juice flow.
Remove the gooseberries from the heat, mash the berries with a pusher. Then immediately rub through a sieve. Squeeze the remaining cake through cheesecloth.

Pour the squeezed juice into a bowl or saucepan and boil. Add sugar and stir to dissolve completely.
For every liter of juice you need 800 g of sugar.
Cook the gooseberry jam for about 40 minutes over low heat. Stir and remove the foam from the surface.

Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and close the lids. Store cool after cooling.
