- Salt ¹⁄₂ tsp spoons
- Baking powder 1 tsp the spoon
- 2⁄₃ cup butter
- Sugar 1¹⁄₂ cup
- Eggs 4 pieces
- Vanilla extract 1¹⁄₂ tsp spoons
- Almond extract ¹⁄₄ tsp spoons
Cooking method
Line a baking sheet with foil and place the almonds in one layer on it.
Place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 10 minutes. Cool slightly and chop.
Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
Beat the softened butter and sugar separately with a mixer.
-
Add eggs, vanilla and almond extracts and beat again until smooth.
Vanilla extract can be substituted with a pinch of vanillin.
Pour the flour, salt and baking powder into the butter and egg mixture and mix thoroughly.
Add the nuts to the dough and mix well again.
Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Put the dough on a table sprinkled with flour. Sprinkle the dough with flour and divide into three equal parts.
Form each into a flattened sausage about 25 cm long and about 5 cm wide.
Place the sausages carefully on a baking sheet, 5-10 cm apart.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and leave to cool for 10-15 minutes.
-
Cut each sausage on a cutting board across into pieces no more than 2 cm thick.
Cookies will be more beautiful if the knife is not perpendicular, but at a slight angle.
Arrange the pieces, cut side up, on two parchment-lined baking sheets.
Place in the oven for another 9 minutes. Then turn each cookie over and bake for another 7-9 minutes.
Cool the finished biscotti completely.
