Chogi is a Georgian snack. Slightly sweet and juicy baked beets go well with dogwood, which gives a special piquancy.
Rinse the beets, pat dry with paper towels and wrap in foil. Bake in the oven at 200 ° C for 40-60 minutes.
Meanwhile, pour the dogwood with water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat.
After about 20 minutes, the berries will become soft, and almost all the liquid has boiled away. Then rub the dogwood through a sieve.
Grate the cooled beets on a coarse grater.
Combine the beets with the dogwood mass. Add chopped onion, chopped greens and stir.
No salt or dressings are needed for this snack.
Leave the chogi to steep for an hour or two, it will be even tastier.
