Remember the milk - a handy planner
Work And Study Productivity / / December 23, 2019
Online calendars and planners, there are many. Over the past six months, several readers, please e-mail me on to the service Remember the milk. Among the advantages are mainly called Russian language support. In general, I decided to get acquainted with it (and it is, admittedly, somewhat belated decision, because the site has been around for a long time - since 2005).
Remember the milk is really translated into Russian, but the localization of only partially. Some interface elements were in English. It would not be so bad, if not imposing in misleading clues. When you add a new task, RTM tells the date format for the event (see. a screenshot to the right). According to the prompts, you can use the Russian language, but it is not. Although the idea of entering dates in the "natural" language, words (Today, Tomorrow, Next Friday) looks attractive. Hopefully, over time, the localization will reach this part.
In general, the addition of tasks is not very different from those of development - indicates the event when it takes place, whether it will be repeated, prescribe tags, add notes. But there is one feature - an event notification can be obtained not only by email but also on mobile telephone, internet-pager (a large list of supported protocols includes ICQ to, and Google Talk, and even Skype).
The Remember the milk delights integration with third-party sites and services. So you can use the maps from Google Maps mapping service, work offline with the help of Google Gears, use the scheduler in Google Calendar, add tasks and receive notifications using Twitter. For those users who need a planner, always and everywhere, provided the mobile version and the ability to synchronize with Windows Mobile.
Overall, I liked Remember the milk. If you are searching for convenient online scheduler, this is definitely worth considering.
