Chicken baked in the oven with lemon, onion and garlic

Chicken baked with lemon in the oven will be very soft and juicy. Citrus gives it a wonderful aroma, and after baking it can be sprinkled with lemon juice.

Ingredients
- Chicken carcass 1 piece
- Olive oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- Small onions 2 pieces
- Garlic 3-4 cloves
- Thyme 1-2 sprigs
- Bay leaves 2-3 pieces
- Canned or fresh lemon 1 piece

Rinse the chicken and wipe dry. It is imperative to wipe the bird, as any moisture on the surface will interfere with the formation of a golden and crispy crust.

Trim off excess poultry internal fat if necessary.

Flip the carcass over to the chest and cut off the scent glands above the tail: they look like a pair of soft gray-yellow balls.

Cut off any excess neck skin, and secure the rest with a toothpick or thread between the wings.

Flip the carcass breast-side up and turn the tips of the wings over the back so they will not burn during baking.

Rub the poultry with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt inside and out.

Place the peeled onion and garlic inside the bird.

Then send thyme and lavrushka.

Send canned lemon to the chicken, which can be substituted with fresh citrus.

Tie the chicken drumsticks with a non-synthetic thread.
Send to the preheated oven. For chicken, the baking time is calculated using a simple formula: 20 minutes at 180 degrees for every half kilogram of weight.

Let the carcass stand for about 10 minutes before slicing and removing all additions from the cavity. Otherwise, all the juice may leak out during cutting.
