Cut the garlic into small cubes.
Make small holes in the shins with a knife, but not through, and shove a piece of garlic inside.
Rub the legs with salt and basil.
Preheat a skillet and brush it with oil. Fry the legs on both sides over medium heat until golden brown.
Combine water, vinegar, broken bay leaves, pepper and rosemary.
Pour the mixture into the skillet, cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
