A situation where we accidentally delete an important contact is rare, but no one is safe from them. This may occur when editing the contact, adding a new phone number, or replace outdated. If you find yourself in this position, do not just grab his head. There is an exit. And not one, but four. I'll talk about all four and you can choose the most convenient.
The first thing I recommend to disable the Internet on the iPhone. It is very important! Without connecting to the network will not work sync with iCloud. Contacts in the cloud, and hence on all your other devices will remain intact.
1. Restoring using the "contact» OS X
Of course, your contacts are synchronized with the address book OS X, and if you delete a contact on the iPhone, it is deleted from your computer. But there is a chance, because synchronization is an inevitable delay (for example, if poppy is offline or in sleep mode). That's what we need to do:
- disable Internet on the Mac (turn off wifi in the menu bar);
- open the application "Contacts" in OS X;
- We find by searching the most remote contact and open it;
- go to the menu "File" - "Export" and choose "Export Vcard", to save the contact in .vcf format
- We turn on wifi and send email on the iPhone with an attached .vcf-file;
- iPhones now open the resulting .vcf and click the "Create new contact".
2. Restoration by re iCloud synchronization.
This method simply sync iPhone contacts list so that is stored in the cloud. He does not always work, but if the first method did not it worth a try:
- open the "Settings" on your iPhone and go to the section of iCloud;
- turn off syncing contacts and select the "Leave for iPhone»;
- return the switch to "On" and select "Merge with existing";
- The "Contacts" or "Phone" and check whether there was a remote contact.
Very simple and quick way, but the probability that it will work depends on how fast you turn off Internet on iPhone (what I said at the very beginning of the article).
3. Full recovery from backup iTunes
If you regularly connect your iPhone to your computer, you can simply restore the backup and recover deleted contacts that way. This method is guaranteed to work, but it will not turn out to apply to the "field" because it requires a computer:
- connect the iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes;
- click "Restore iPhone from a backup" and select the latest backup;
Restoring a fairly lengthy process, so be patient. After completing the procedure, iPhone will reboot and remote contacts will return to their original location.
4. Ask for a phone number with friends or colleagues
If you removed only one contact, try to find a common friend or colleague who knows the right person. This option is less universal, but still worth a try.
Loss of important contact is very unpleasant, albeit remedied. This once again brings us back to the importance of creating backups. Make regular backups to iTunes and iCloud, to protect themselves against possible trouble in the future. Believe me, it's worth it!
P.S.: there is a very large number of applications for the restoration of contacts. As a rule, they are expensive and do not give any guarantees. I do not advise to buy these programs, as they are effective not more than the above-described methods.
