Company Realmac Software is the creator of such famous applications for OS X and iOS, as the RapidWeaver, Analog, Analog Camera, Ember and popular task manager Clear, Which we not oncealreadywrote.
In August this year the developers as a complement to Clear launched a course on productivity, in the form of a weekly e-mail-mailing. The course leads Thibault Lemaitre, an employee in charge of the marketing and technical support service.
We offer you a translation of the first four lessons. Remember, this is the beginning of the course, and, as with any other course, it starts with the very basics.
Lesson 1. Getting rid of that distraction
The main thing that you need to bring the case to the end - is concentration. We are surrounded by things that we are constantly distracted, and very easy to switch to them, and leave the productive zone.
Here are three simple but useful tips to help you focus and get more done in the same time.
Give up the multitasking
Switching from one case to another slows down the performance of each of them, be focused on one task at a time.
Use the "Do Not Disturb"
And OS X, and iOS has a feature called "Do Not Disturb". Turn it on for a couple of hours to a vegetable garden of all notifications, reminders, telephone calls and messages.
Turn off the Internet
No Facebook, Twitter, Email or Safari - it frees you from a variety of distracting events and actions. I believe this method is one of the best ways to again concentrate the scattered attention to the task at hand.
Get rid of anything that distracts you and focus on a single task, you will be pleasantly surprised how much you can do.
Lesson 2. Organizing with Clear
In this lesson we will focus on how to stay organized.
checklists
The most important - is to record all the items together, so you can easily handle them. I make lists for everything: things that I lent to friends, tasks that you need to finish the work on ideas for projects, etc.
fraction task
Break down each step as it is possible smaller and lighter action. If you do not know what the parties come to the point, try to solve the problem, starting from the end, what you want to achieve? a step - the last one? which precedes it?
Correctly prioritize
Here are some simple questions that will also help you prioritize. How important current task? How it urgent? Alignment of tasks in order of priority is particularly important if others are waiting, when you're done, to start its work.
Remember, the best way to stay organized, it is one that makes sense for you. So do not be afraid to change your workflow, if you can find other ways that work for you.
Lesson 3. How to use Clear

Lesson 4. daily habits
A few tips to help you in organizing and structuring your day.
Explosions e-mail and social networks
I believe that e-mail and social networking sites are actually useful allocate 10-15 minutes a day - only to read and answer all messages, and then close the application.
Try the technique of "Pomodoro"
The meaning of "Pomodoro" is a breakdown of the day for periods of 25 minutes and switch to another task after each period. If 25 minutes is not enough to perform the tasks, increase the duration of periods - 40 minutes, or maybe even an hour.
Find your peak
Determine which part of the day you are most productive, and work on your most important tasks during this time. For most people this will be the morning - but it could be different!
Cool 20 minutes
I love the idea of Colin Wright: every day for 20 minutes to stop, stop all business, just sit, meditate and not to do any work. Turn off all your devices and make sure that you are in a relaxed atmosphere!
Using these simple tips, and adhering to the rules you have set, you can make your day more structured and focused.
