Sony is preparing a Spider-Man TV series about Silk

By data Deadline, Sony is in talks with Amazon to distribute several new self-produced TV series. One of them is dedicated to a female character in the Spider-Man universe - Silk.

While negotiations between the companies are at the initial stage, but the series itself has been in development for a long time. It is known that Lauren Moon is responsible for the script, and the film is produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who gave us Spider-Man: Through the Universes.

Silk is a relatively new character. Her first full comic book appearance was in July 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 3) #4. She received her abilities in the same way as Peter Parker - through a spider bite. After the mutation, she gained superpower, the ability to move on walls and release cobwebs from her index fingers.

Not so long ago, appeared on the Web intelligence about the development of a full-length film in the Marvel Universe, which will introduce a new female character. It is rumored to be Spider-Woman. The film will be directed by Olivia Wilde. If all these leaks are true, then in the next few years, apparently, a whole spider multiverse awaits us.
